Facilitator’s Guide, Member’s Guide, & Dave’s Subs

You have Dave’s Subs: A Novel Story About Workplace Accountability, and you’re interested in exploring Just Culture with your team—now what? Start a workplace book club! Explore Dave’s Subs journey by using the book club edition, consisting of three resources to help book club members and facilitators. For the first time, book club members can read Dave’s Subs while following along with the Member’s guide that encourages readers to think critically. Book club facilitators will use the Facilitator’s Guide to open up productive dialogue related to the book’s main topics. Each chapter contains questions covering the key concepts that will take you and your group to a deeper level of managerial introspection.

Depending on how often your book club meets, break the book into groups of 3-5 chapters per meeting to ensure a digestible pace. Questions are broken into two categories: Reflection and Learning. Take detailed notes on responses to these questions, as viewpoints may change over the course of the book.  Both facilitators and members will take notes for active involvement in their Dave’s Subs journey.
